Mike Kruzeniski: My Favorite Metro Apps 

Good list of examples. Though some have been complaining of the non-affordances of the Metro UI (what is a button, what isn’t, where and what do I tap), graphically, it makes a lot of sense to get rid of all that UI weight. The NYTimes one is gorgeously minimal, words and only words.
